Welcome to the Junior School
We are delighted that your child will be joining us at the Junior School, and we look forward to getting to know them. Class teachers are available at the end of each school day should you need to speak with them.
If your child is continuing their journey through the Federation, from year 2, by 'moving up the hill', there has been a transition package in place for each child. The Year 3 team of teachers and teaching assistants have spent time with their current teachers discussing the individual needs of your child. With our SENCO, Mrs Absalom and Mrs McCarthy, our Family Support Worker, working across both schools, they too help to ensure all information is passed on and support continues for the children and their families.

Our Year 3 Teachers
Our new Year 3 classes are called 3B, 3C and 3M
3B are taught by Miss Byett
3C are taught by Miss Chard

The first day
Where to drop your child off and where to pick them up
The children need to be dropped off outside their classroom. There will be someone on the pathway to show you where to go. They will then need to be picked up from the same place at the end of the school day.
What they need to bring with them
The only thing the children need to bring to school is a packed lunch box (if they are not having school dinners) and their PE kit. They do not need to bring anything else, as all of the stationery they need will be provided for them.
Timings
8.30am Doors to the classroom open
8.40am The school day starts and the register is taken
3.10pm The end of the school day
We have some fantastic areas for the children to play in each day. We hope you like exploring the bus. It's open each lunchtime for you to chill out in. There are huge grass areas to play on too, when it is dry enough.
