Children’s Mental Health Week 2025

The main message this year is, "Know yourself, grow yourself" and this was shared in whole school assemblies.

As part of raising the profile of mental health our trained mental health ambassadors led assemblies at the infant and junior school, where they presented each year group with Oreo the cat teddies. Oreo the Cat is our mental health mascot and represents all the qualities we hope will help us to better understand our mental health and well-being such as being curious, caring, calm, inquisitive, strong and a good thinker.

Health and Wellbeing Hub

The following organisations visited school this week as part of a pop-up Health and Wellbeing Hub: Headsup, Parental Minds, Nexus Partnership, Normal Magic, Nexus Wellbeing Team, Action for Children and Devon Carers. Proving so successful that we will be hosting this event again on 29th April for the Federation.

We can reflect on the work we have done so far in supporting children’s health and wellbeing. Thank you so much to all our families that supported World Mental Health Day through our Hello Yellow Day. Funds raised for Young Minds will make a difference. Both schools wore yellow to show our support. We have recently launched Zones of Regulation across the Federation to support children in understanding their feelings and their mental health, as well as learning how to keep themselves healthy and regulated.
